Introduction

The dependency of the human in using mobile applications in today's era cannot be denied. Mobile applications help people to manage their daily activities and other related transactions. The mobile application usage is not limited to the primary and basic mobile applications, such as calendar, notes, clock and messaging. Today, mobile applications have been widely used in airline ticketing, fitness monitoring, currency exchange, public transport, e-wallet, hotel booking, and banking. The usage of those mobile applications will lead to information privacy issues and the exploitation of personal information cases. To what extent do the users understand their limitations in sharing personal information with the mobile application providers? Recently, users tend to share their private information without setting any limitation and restriction on personal information. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the intention of users in providing information through a mobile application. Besides, this study aims to understand mobile users' information privacy concerns, trusting beliefs and risk beliefs while using mobile applications. To meet the research aims, two main objectives of this study are outlined. This study is crucial to explore the practices among mobile users' patterns in protecting their information privacy.
